Nonionizing EMR is less harmful than the ionizing EMR that causes heat. Nonionizing EMR could pose health risks at higher levels. Bluetooth technology is used to transmit audio signals wirelessly using earbuds. These devices can transmit audio signals up to three feet away from the user. Some people are concerned about the risks of radiation at high levels. This is why Bluetooth headphones are not as safe as wired headphones.



Radiofrequency radiation from wireless earbuds such as AirPods is similar to the radiation from cellphones. This radiation was classified by the World Health Organization as a Class 2B cancergen in 2011. Numerous scientists have published research showing that this radiation causes cancer as well as other health problems in humans.



Wireless earbuds are becoming increasingly popular, but the consequences of these devices remain unanswered. Although low-level radiation is not harmful but prolonged exposure can cause neurological disorders and DNA damage. This radiation is also released by Bluetooth headphones and radios. These products have been classified as a hazard by the World Health Organization, and scientists have urged governments to adopt more stringent regulations.



In 2015, more than 200 scientists signed an open letter to World Health Organisation and United Nations in response to concerns regarding wireless earbuds. Although they didn't specifically address AirPods, these scientists called for stricter regulations and guidelines. The earbuds of wireless headphones are blocked
